• I write these songs where people say a lot of horrible things to one another. This song, which has never been played live to the best of my knowledge [ed: only twice before, and never again] — I really think the guy goes out of his way to say something terrible. But it doesn't sound that terrible. He is sort of a ninja of saying terrible things. He feels like 'I'm gonna say something that sounds like it's really not that much, and then a year or so from now, when you won't be able to find me, you'll realize what I said to you, and you'll wanna slap me, but by that time, you won't know where I'm at.
